In plain terms

Tells you the last day a case can be filed, so a claim does not die of old age.

What to know first

These are the ordinary periods only. It cannot know about disability, fraud or mistake under section 26, or acknowledgement and part payment under sections 23 and 24. It refuses to diarise a period that has already expired rather than guessing.

How to use it

  1. 1 On any matter, find the Limitation card.
  2. 2 Pick the cause of action and the date it accrued.
  3. 3 The bar date and days remaining appear as you type.
  4. 4 Diarise it to write the bar date plus warnings at six months, three months, one month and one week out.
